Antequera Natural Landscapes
The Torcal of Antequera - It is about 15kms from the city and it has an area of about 20kms2, it is considered one of the geological landscapes where its primary ecosystem has hardly been altered. The richness and variety of fauna, with about 150 species of vertebrate animals that inhabit it and its flora, with a wealth of botanical species, having cataloged 664 varieties of plants and a surreal landscape make it a natural site unique in Europe. It is considered as "Natural Area of National Interest."

Fuente Piedra Lagoon - One of the most important wetlands in Europe and it is one of a set of six very similar gaps in vegetation, and influxes of birds. The lake is fed by an underground aquifer and rainfall, the salinity of it is produced by minerals deposited in the basin when mixed with water, this being one of its main features. It has the largest colony of flamingos in the Peninsula and the second in Europe, it receives between 14000-18000 couples which have there its place and space and have made Fuente de Piedra one of their favourite habitats. It is considered a Nature Reserve.
