Key Dates and Opening of the Feria de Málaga
The Feria de Málaga 2025 will take place from August 16 to August 23, although it officially kicks off with two unique pre-events: the Historical Parade at 8:00 PM, and a drone and pyromusical show around 11:50 PM and midnight, respectively.
The opening speech will be delivered by Málaga-born author Javier Castillo on Saturday, August 16, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the fairground’s entrance arch at the Real.
Two Spaces, Two Vibes: Daytime and Nighttime Feria de Málaga
Daytime Feria (Historic Center)
Live music (including flamenco and verdiales), street entertainment in squares such as Plaza de la Constitución, Plaza de las Flores, Plaza de la Merced, and children’s activities until 6:00 PM.

Feria de Málaga Location
Nighttime Feria (Cortijo de Torres fairground): Over 120 booths, a funfair area, equestrian shows, Municipal Auditorium, and Youth Esplanade. It opens from 2:00 PM and runs until well past midnight.

Innovation Meets Tradition
This year, for the first time, visitors will be able to enter the Real’s entrance arch, inspired by the historic “Embarcadero de la Reina” kiosk. The structure will be lit with 1.4 million LED lights using sustainable technology (Eco-green-lux, 60% energy savings).
Additionally, cleanliness will be reinforced with 500 extra workers, 5,000 trash bins, and 24-hour cleaning services.
Free Entertainment and Youth Participation
The Feria de Málaga will feature nearly 200 free shows throughout the week. Highlights include Chambao, Camela, Merche, Mojinos Escozíos, Toreros con Chanclas, and local talents like Paco Candela and Joana Jiménez.
The Youth Esplanade, the center for urban music and DJs, will be open nightly from 10:00 PM to 3:00 AM, including the special initiative “La Feria a tu manera” (Feria Your Way) with young DJs on August 23.
How to Get to the Feria de Málaga
Getting to both Feria locations is easy from any point in the city, thanks to Málaga’s public buses, commuter train, and special Feria bus lines. We do not recommend using a rental car due to high traffic congestion and limited parking during the Feria.
How to Reach the City Center Feria
Due to parking difficulties, it’s best to use public transportation.
If you’re already in the city, use Google Maps to find the best route, or check live transport updates using the EMT Málaga app or their official website.
Best stops for the Historic Center are:
- Alameda Principal
- Plaza de La Marina
- Paseo del Parque
- Plaza de la Merced
If you’re coming from outside Málaga, take the Cercanías train and get off at Málaga Centro-Alameda, or take a bus to Muelle Heredia. If driving a rental car, you can park at one of the downtown garages like Parking de la Merced, Plaza de la Marina, or Camas Parking.
How to Reach the Nighttime Fairground (Cortijo de Torres)
Special Feria buses run from most parts of the city from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, taking you straight to the Feria de Málaga.
If you’re staying outside the city, you can use special regional lines from nearby towns across the province of Málaga, which also stop at the fairgrounds.
The Cercanías train has a station just 10 minutes from the fairground, so if you’re staying in Torremolinos, Benalmádena, or Fuengirola, it’s just a short ride away.
