I normally hate hiring a car but this was so simple from start to finish that I won’t be going anywhere else when I visit the Costa del Sol!
I chose the dates, chose the car and that’s it! That’s the price! No extra for CDW, no extra for going to Gibraltar (even though we didn’t end up driving there), no extra for miles. Very simple.
Emails with directions were great, there’s even a video showing how to get to the bus. Then it’s a short 5-minute drive to the pick-up point. We did wait half an hour, but that’s fine. We got the keys, the car was brought out and we drove off. That simple.
Drop-off was just as easy. They check the fuel and then drive us to the airport.
The only gripe I have is that I couldn’t clearly see the return address in the form or emails. Maybe I missed it, but I drove to the wrong Marbesol location and then had to remember how to get there from the airport, which was my fault. I should have saved the address before leaving.

Nice staff, easy and quick short transfer, seamless system. This is the 4th time hiring and I’ve never had any issues; this time it was the poorest car I’ve received, but I had no problems with it.
I have been using this car rental company for several years, once or twice a year, and I am very satisfied with the service. The booking process is simple and the transfer from the airport to the car is quick. You just need a bit of patience for about 10–20 minutes and then the car is ready for you.
During my last stay, after two days I started hearing noises from the steering system in the car I received. After contacting customer service and going to their office, the car was replaced quickly.
I’m very impressed with Marbesol’s service! I received quick replies to emails and questions, which is very much appreciated. Upon arrival, I was greeted by friendly employees who speak good English. I had to wait about 15 minutes until I was called and then about 5–10 minutes to sort out the paperwork. No last-minute extra fees or deposits. They provide a service where you can return the car with an empty tank for a fixed price of only €1/L, which saves a lot of money. The car itself worked great and even had Apple CarPlay, which I did not expect. When I returned the car at 06:40 in the morning, I could park it right away, hand over the keys and immediately step into their shuttle bus to the airport. We were at the airport within 15 minutes of arriving at Marbesol. Would highly recommend!
Fair prices, shuttle bus from and to the airport. A credit card is required to rent a car.
No complaints. Fast pickup and even faster return. Very friendly staff and a reasonable price.
