Great car rental company that I recommend to everyone. You can probably find cheaper options, but if you book early enough, the difference is not significant.
Pros:
1. Everything is exactly as described: full insurance, nothing to worry about, and no money blocked on the card (you only provide card details and a declaration for possible fines).
2. At the office they offer an alternative fuel option: pick up the car with a full tank and return it empty (you pay for the full tank at the lowest fuel price), which is very convenient as you don’t need to look for a gas station before returning the car.
3. Paperwork at the office really takes about 15 minutes and you’re on your way. No vehicle inspection, no endless forms (we filled in our details online beforehand). Car return is super fast: hand over the keys and that’s it, no signatures required! At first this made us suspicious because of some reviews we had read, but there were no extra charges at all. MEGA GREAT – THIS IS HOW CAR RENTAL SHOULD WORK!
4. Very efficient transport between the airport and the rental office. The logistics are clearly explained in the leaflet after online booking. Someone is already waiting with your name when you exit the terminal.
5. They offer a 2-hour grace period for late returns.
6. Excellent 24/7 contact with the office by phone and email. Fast and efficient responses.
Cons (if this matters to you):
1. The car (Renault Clio 1.0 with 88,000 km) was heavily used, with dents and scratches all over. Brake discs and pads were very worn and sometimes noisy, but the car worked perfectly even for a family of four. The lack of repairs confirms the full insurance coverage. When I mentioned it, the staff told me not to worry. Recording a video at pickup and drop-off is recommended (we did).
2. Check that the mileage matches the contract (we had a 90 km difference, which they corrected immediately), important if there is a mileage limit.
3. There is a 2,000 km limit, after which the car supposedly needs to be changed. We drove 1,300 km in 11 days and saw a lot of Andalusia. Distances are short, but mountain roads are winding and speed-controlled.
Summary:
If you don’t mind saving 50–60 € on your holiday and simply want a smooth rental without hassle, hidden fees or paperwork, Marbesol is the right choice. It was our first car rental experience and next time we won’t look elsewhere. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic experience renting the car with Marbesol. First of all, the website is completely clear about the terms. Normally we feel uneasy when renting due to the underlying feeling that there might be hidden costs or catches, but this was not the case. Secondly, the price was much lower than with other companies, considering that we needed to cross the border into Portugal. We would also like to highlight the great customer service (perfect English), the easy pick-up and drop-off, and the transfers to and from the airport with minimal waiting time. All in all, we will definitely be using their services again.
