Very good service, fair price, perfect vehicle and very attentive pick-up and transfer to the airport. The only downside is that the vehicle was supposed to have GPS, and when leaving Málaga I realized it didn’t have it, but I didn’t say anything to avoid going back and losing time. Other than that, everything was perfect.
I've been renting cars from Marbesol for over 7 years – almost every time I come to Costa del Sol. I've used cars from different classes and they were always in very good condition. Initially I tried different providers, but none of them were nearly as good as Marbesol. By far the best value for money on the market.
Most tourists/newcomers don't realize that other drivers can be extremely negligent, and unfortunately sometimes vehicles get damaged. A few times I parked in front of Carrefour for a quick shop only to come back and find someone had reversed into my car or hit it with their door. Very disheartening, however with Marbesol’s insurance I never had a single issue.
Service is pretty good at both locations, and the agents are friendly.
At this point I refuse to switch to any other company, lol.
Suggestions:
1) Email communications after booking should come in English, not only in Spanish. Unfortunately, some people still get surprised that they need a valid credit card to rent a car, and I’ve seen people being rude to the agents when the rental was refused. The info is in the email, but only in Spanish, so someone who doesn’t speak the language may claim they didn’t know.
2) There should be extra info about rentals from the Marbella location (that they must be made at least 24 hours in advance and preferably for more than 3 days). In the past I tried booking for the next day and always received a message saying no inventory was available, so I made unnecessary trips to the airport from Puerto Banús.
Other than that, great company and I definitely recommend it.
Another great experience with Marbesol. We rented a Renault Clio for a month this time and the car was perfect. The pick-up outside the airport was a bit tricky because several flights arrived at the same time, which meant we weren't registered in their system when we got there. We waited for a while but noticed that other people were being attended before us. When I went into the office, they realised the mistake and helped us immediately. The return process was extremely easy, and we were inside the airport 10 minutes after dropping the car off. Marbesol is still our favourite hire company 😀
Very good experience with this car rental company. Shuttle bus to and from the airport. Good and efficient check-in system, reasonable prices with a low deposit. Highly recommend.
Great experience every time – fast, organized, and efficient. I’ve used Marbesol four times, and there has never been any delay or issue. A special thank-you for quickly returning a jumper I had forgotten in the car and bringing it to the airport. Truly appreciated. Highly recommended!
